Of these the most likely is the first (based n the fact that William Brown’s first daughter was named Sarah and his youngest son was named Richard).  However there is a big gap between the marriage date of Richard Brown and Sarah Swain (7 June 1781) and the baptism of William Brown (5 May 1793).  But a big family appears (see below).
